Despite initially starting off the school year as a group of students haphazardly congregated to keep the 'Creative Writing Club' afloat, the friendship between its members gradually blossoms as they bond over their mutual love for music. And after much deliberation, they decide to embark on a new path together to show off their artistry under the idol group name 'EMPYRE'.While the lives of Miwa Hayashi, Letícia Takemoto, Jitsuko Sumi, Nanami Fukuhara, Maia Li and Reina Hirayanagi are filled with many high highs that bring them closer together - from after-school practices to café study sessions - it seems this path they've chosen is riddled with many trials and tribulations as well.Join the aspiring idols of EMPYRE as they not only work their way into the industry, but also learn to face their own insecurities, reconcile former relationships, learn to deal with anti-fans and each other's own flaws as they do so.

MIWA HAYASHI

Second daughter of the Hayashi family, owner of a highly reputable fashion brand of the same name, Miwa is booked and busy with modelling and acting gigs on top of attending high school. Yet there's must a slight inkling brewing within her that maybe she wants to pursue something else... Holding the title of her senior high school's most affable and good-natured student in addition to being their top volleyball player is not something to brush off, yet when it comes to everything else, Letícia believes she's just about average. Involved in some malicious rumours about former trouble students, Jitsuko is used to being avoided by most. NANAMI FUKUHARA

With a bright personality, creative mind, and many different talents, there's no reason not to find them admirable. Maybe it's cheesy to say, but for someone as reclusive and constantly stressed as Maia, dance has been her sole method of self-expression for as long as she can remember.
